Wonderful Family Vacation This beautiful home is spacious with a kitchen I could easily cook for my large family in. There was plenty of sleeping areas to give us all privacy and the beds were comfortable. The property owner was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The view is incredible and the location avoids heavy boat traffic SML can sometimes have. Lots of options for my morning runs which had beautiful views and wildlife sightings. As others noted, the steep driveway is a challenge for smaller vfehicles, but my husband actually loved it in his Jeep Gladiator - LOL!! I parked my van at the top and had no probelm at all loading, unlocading, etc. it was not a problem for us but coudl be for older disabled folks. |

Peaceful Stay by the Lake Overall the property was perfect for our needs. The upstairs was perfect for the adults to sit and enjoy each other's company and the kids/teens played PlayStation and pool downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. We have stayed at several VRBO's and this one had the most comfortable beds by far. The view from the deck was second to none. The fire pit was perfect for our group. Yes it was a bit of a walk to the lake but the stairs were well maintained and were easily used. Laura did a great job with her descriptions so we were fairly well prepared for what to expect with the property. |

Practically Perfect in Everyway!! A group of extended family stayed here to gather and celebrate a graduation from Roanoke College (about 45 minutes away). The house was great - clean, comfortable, spacious and a beautiful setting right on Smith Mountain Lake. We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. There are perfect gathering spaces to eat, play and visit and also plenty of room to get away for some alone time! The only thing we didn't like was the driveway - I highly recommend parking at the top and walkinig down to the house! We had a wonderful weekend and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to others. |
