I found this gem on a whim, looking for a last minute stay to explore beautiful SML. I called Laura and we were booked. After staying in hotels it was extremely nice to cook our own meals. Just the two of us so the house was more than enough. However, we will be back! It was a great quick visit and we couldn't have been more pleased. Thank You for allowing us into your home and calling it ours for a few days. |

We were here for our neice's wedding in Bedford, VA. The wedding was at Cedar Oak Farms. An absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding with great views of the Blue Ridge. It was also an opportunity to spend some quality time with our sons and their wives. "unwind" was the Perfect House for our visit. We experienced two restaurants at SML while we were here. The food and service at the Copper Kettle was top notched. We also, had very good Pizza and Pasta at Vinny's, very friendly folks there. We enjoyed relaxing at the house, sitting on the deck looking at the lake, taking in the Fall Colors, and watching for our daily visit from the Deer Family. It was an all over Great Stay!!! |

We came to enjoy the lake and go horseback riding. This was the perfect place. We loved the firepit and the open concept of the living area. Thank You! |

Property exceeded expectations and had everything advertised. The lake access was the best. Everyone in my group had an awesome time and made memories we will be talking about for years. |

My first visit to Smith Mountain Lake was in early Sept. and the lake house, Unwind & Reel 'em Inn could not have been a better choice. This was a girls weekend and it was delightful. The house is very spacious and has incredible views overlooking the lake. We spent most of our daylight hours on the deck, down on the floating dock, or floating in the water! It was so lovely and relaxing we didn't even explore the other surroundings. There was nothing we wanted more than taking it easy. Perfect weather was the cherry on top. Evenings were spent enjoying the fire pit, shooting pool, playing games and lots of laughter. Beds were comfy and the layout of the rooms had great views and were very private. The kitchen was fully stocked for those who like to cook during their vacation (not on our list) but food options weren't very far for something easy. I'll definitely go back and hopefully longer to explore more of the lake. I can't thank the owner enough, she was very responsive to any questions, for a wonderful get-a-way. |

Everything You Need! We had a fabulous time! The location was perfect for much needed R and R. Lots of steps to the water, but the views from the house deck were worth it!!! |
